TOMAS DIXONAS 

Nors šiuo metu jis yra viena iš pirmaujančių figūrų pasaulinėje dizaino scenoje, Tomas Diksonas neplanavo siekti dizainerio karjeros: jis iš tikrųjų neplanavo nieko kito, kaip tik kurti daiktus rankomis ir iš visko, kas jam papuola po ranka. Karjerą jis pradėjo kurdamas baldus iš metalo laužo, taip suteikdamas senoms medžiagoms naują gyvenimą, o 2002 m. nusprendė tą patį procesą pritaikyti ir sau – įkūrė savo prekės ženklą. Šiame interviu dvigubą gyvenimą gyvenantis dizaineris pasakoja apie save kaip asmenybę ir apie savo prekės ženklą.

Šveicarų fotografas ir režisierius Alberto Venzago išgyveno daugybę svarbių šiuolaikinės istorijos momentų. Savo fotoaparato ir nerimastingo smalsumo dėka jis įamžino visas šias patirtis, pasakodamas apie tai, kas vyko aplink jį. Nuo didžiulio fotožurnalisto darbo, kai jis fiksavo islamo karo konfliktus, atogrąžų miškų kirtimą, prostituciją Maniloje, vudu kultus ir nusikalstamas organizacijas, tokias kaip jakuza Japonijoje, iki muzikos ir kultūros pasaulio įžymybių, tokių kaip Andy Warholas, Tina Turner, Stingas ir Mickas Jaggeris, portretų. jis keliavo po visą pasaulį, gyveno Australijoje, Japonijoje ir Niujorke, kol grįžo į Šveicariją, kur šiuo metu gyvena. Although he is now one of the leading figures on the global design scene, Tom Dixon had no plans to pursue a career in design: he didn’t really plan to do anything beyond making things by hand and with whatever was put in front of him. He began his career by creating furniture out of scrap metal, thus giving old materials a new life, and in 2002 he decided to apply that same process to himself and launched his own brand. In this interview, the designer with the double life talks to us about himself as an individual and about his brand.

ALBERTO VENZAGO From Japanese Yakuza to Mick Jagger

Alberto Venzago, the Swiss photographer and filmmaker, has lived through numerous significant moments in modern history. Thanks to his camera and restless curiosity he has immortalized all these experiences, narrating what was happening around him. From his great work as a photojournalist, where he has captured the conflict behind the war in Islam, the deforestation of the rainforest, prostitution in Manila, Voodoo cults and criminal organizations such as the Yakuza in Japan, to taking portraits of celebrities from the world of music and culture such as Andy Warhol, Tina Turner, Sting and Mick Jagger.He has traveled all over the world, living in Australia, Japan and New York before returning to Switzerland where he currently resides. This spring, the Ernst Leitz Museum in Wetzlar (Germany) is holding a retrospective of his work, reflecting a career that has been clearly defined by the alternation between documentary and staged photography, between photographs that are ”taken” and those that are ”made”.
